Detailed Itinerary – 4 Days Primates Circuit
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest | 4 Days Primates Circuit
Upon arrival at the airport, our guide/driver will receive you and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. En-route, enjoy lunch in Mbarara and take in Uganda’s equator, lush landscapes, banana plantations, and local communities. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, check-in, enjoy dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer – Queen Elizabeth National Park | 4 Days Primates Circuit
After an early breakfast, meet ranger guides at the Bwindi park headquarters for your gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the dense forest with experienced guides and trackers to encounter these gentle giants. Treks may last 1–8 hours at high altitudes, but the hour spent observing gorillas is unforgettable. Success rates for sightings exceed 95%.
After lunch, transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its rare tree-climbing lions. Arrive at your lodge, relax, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Sunrise Game Drive & Boat Cruise – Kazinga Channel | 4 Days Primates Circuit
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive in Ishasha searching for tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, and topis. Continue to the main part of Queen Elizabeth NP, observing baboons and monkeys along the way. After lunch, enjoy a 2-hour afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, spotting hippos, Nile crocodiles, warthogs, and a variety of birds.

Day 4: Chimp Trekking & Transfer – Entebbe | 4 Days Primates Circuit End
After breakfast, check out and drive to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking experience with a specialized ranger. After observing the chimps in their natural habitat, continue to the airport for your outbound flight, stopping for lunch in Mbarara and at Kayabwe for the equator experience.
