Birds of Uganda
Birds of Uganda : Uganda carrys out birding safaris in different national park where you get to see numerous bird species from the numerous safari destinations in the country, as it is Uganda is the most reliable spotty place for birds globally.
Shoe bill is one of the most sought for bird in Uganda and it can easily sight at Mabamba wetland, in Uganda there are 34 important birding areas found in Uganda, 10 National Parks and 12 wildlife reserves all known to be great birding destinations.
Uganda has Diversity of bird species (over 1080 species) including 24 out of 27 Albertine rift endemic species. There are over 1030 confirmed bird species in Uganda, making Uganda Birding Safari a must do for many seasoned birders.

These species are grouped into three categories, vagrants, Endemic and uncertain. Our list of birds in Uganda categorizes the birds according to their sub species and despite that the list is quite endless due to the fact that there is almost a new bird discovered on a daily in the country below are some of the birds in the country.
