All staff were friendly helpful and attentive. They try to help in every way (they even cleaned our hiking boots for us 🙂). The accommodation is amazing and comfortable. The chef produces excellent meals from quality produce and presents them beautifully. We found the water pressure to be very low but that seems to be a result of the location. The lodge is very close to the Chimpanzee Trekking entrance. If we are ever in the area again we would love to stay with Kevin and his team again. Wir haben mit einer Gruppe von 14 Leuten ganz spontan diese Unterkunft im Kibale Nationalpark im Juli 2024 gebucht. Eigentlich war die Renovierung der einzelnen Lodge's noch nicht abgeschlossen und die Neueröffnung stand kurz bevor. Die Inhaber haben dann, da wir dringend eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für 2 Nächte brauchten, einen großen Aufwand betrieben und für uns die Räume innerhalb weniger Stunden fertiggestellt. Die Versorgung war sehr gut, die Zimmer sauber. Kurzzeitige Schwierigkeiten mit der Wasserversorgung wurden schnellstmöglich behoben. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Though the journey from Kampala was long, it was worth it the moment we arrived. Nestled within the lush Kibale Forest, the lodge’s setting instantly makes you feel calm and connected to nature. The wooden structures and traditional grass-thatched roofs beautifully blend into the surroundings, creating an authentic, serene atmosphere. From the start, the attentive staff welcomed us with a refreshing glass of fresh watermelon juice and gave us a warm tour of the lodge. We were then invited to dine in the beautiful, spacious lounge and restaurant area. Having received the menu prior to our arrival, we knew we were in for a treat, and the three-course meal did not disappoint. One unique feature is that you get to choose your breakfast preferences and the time you want it served the next morning, adding a personalized touch to the stay. The rooms were cozy and spacious, with large, clean bathrooms and a stunning balcony overlooking the forest. If you love nature, this is truly the place to be. I especially enjoyed my hot oatmeal at breakfast just before setting out early morning for a chimpanzee trekking experience. The rooms are SO spacious! Loved the welcome from the owner Alex to Kevin the Manager to Stephen the waiter....they're all concerned about your comfort and well being over your stay. The bed is really comfortable too and the surrounding forest area is just a dream....the water from the shower had a weak spray but you still feel fresh after a hot shower as the area can get a bit cold. There is a back up generator for power which is what we were using as there was a power issue and it was turned off at 11pm & turned back on at 4am.
