Next, travel through the scenic Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, as you head towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Trek through the dense forest to meet the gentle giants, the mountain gorillas. After the thrilling treks, unwind at the serene Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful paradise perfect for relaxation with stunning views and opportunities for boat rides. This safari offers an unforgettable mix of adventure and tranquility.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer – Kibale Forest National Park

Your driver guide will pick you up at the airport or hotel and transfer you to Kibale Forest national park. As you drive through the countryside, enjoy the remarkable landscapes, traditional homes and catch glimpses of the different striking bird species. Have a stopover for lunch in Fort portal town, the tourism capital of Uganda because of its beautiful landscapes and attractions. You will arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Habituation

Early morning breakfast, continue to Kibale park headquarters for a morning briefing and you will have the entire day spent with chimpanzees, monkeys, birds, or whatever else you and your guide decide to try to find, rather than just a few hours of ordinary chimpanzee tracking. Your guide will set up a delectable picnic lunch at noon in a protected area before proceeding in the late afternoon. Forest elephants and other wild creatures may be seen as part of the tracking and later return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3: Bigodi Community Experience & Tinka Home Experience

Today, you will have your breakfast at leisure before you head out for yet another African immersion experience. You have an opportunity to visit a swamp with abundant butterflies, plants, animals and spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and will be of great interest to birders. After this experience you will take a village walk that will lead you to the Coffee experience, banana bear making, busket making and traditional healer. You will end your day with a local lunch experience at Tinka’s Homestay that will unite your spirit with the African organic foods, this is done by a family living around the forest as a community-based initiative to community collaboration towards conservation.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

Today morning after a relaxed breakfast, we will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park through Ishasha the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park. You will be able to see various mammals and bird species and on a lucky day, you will see the rare tree-climbing lions. We shall proceed with the journey to the home of the gentle giants of the Mountain gorillas. The journey takes us through the terraced hills of Kigezi highlands with lunch en-route in Kihihi. Upon arrival at your lodge in Ruhija, you will take your well-deserved rest as you wait for dinner to be served and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Lake Bunyonyi

Early morning breakfast, then prepare for the ultimate gorilla trekking. You will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search for the gentle giants and enjoy their lifestyle in their habitant. After an encounter with the mountain gorillas, you can sit around them for an hour watching them as you take countless photographs. On this gorilla expedition, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed snacks, insect repellent, sunscreen, hut and drinking water. The gorilla trekking experience takes almost 3-7hrs depending on the movements. Later you will return to your lodge for a hot lunch and check-out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, while here you will spend the rest of the evening relaxing by the lake or any other optional activities.

Day 5: Depart – Entebbe International Airport

After your early morning breakfast, you will check-out of your lodge and transfer to Kampala with a stop-over in Mbarara city for a hot lunch and after you will proceed to Kampala. You will be dropped off to your hotel or Entebbe international airport for your outbound flight.
